IITD National Training Awards 2012

 IITD is committed to the development of human resource talent. We believe that training initiatives within the context of organizational learning and development and aligned with strategy will enable individuals, organisations and Ireland to maximise current and future opportunities.

The “IITD National Training Awards 2012” are focused on engagement, collaboration, participative management, excellence in training initiatives, transparency, innovation and learning and development of both individuals and organizations.
 
Organisation Recognition
The revised and updated “IITD National Training Awards 2012” are designed to encourage a greater level of participation by allowing new opportunities to organizations and individuals to submit entries based on specific Training Initiatives that they believe have contributed to the success of their organizations. 
 
Entries, from organizations of all sizes and scope, departments within organisations, training providers and partnered submissions etc are encouraged. (Full details are attached).
 
Individual Recognition
IITD will also recognize the individuals who have driven both the execution and delivery of the ideas and the successful outcomes of the initiatives.
 
CATEGORIES:
IITD Supreme Training & Development Award
This Award is open to all the categories in the competition. It will be awarded by the judges to the entrant who in their opinion has excelled across a range of aspects of the function and achieved quantifiable results which have added value in an innovative way.
 
IITD Award for Micro Enterprises (10 employees or less)
This Award is for the best submission which displays excellence in training in a micro enterprise.
 
It is designed for entrants who are either new startup companies or small enterprises with limited resources who have developed an excellent and effective training initiative. The resulting initiative must demonstrate good learner outcome and show the added value to their business.
 
IITD Award for Small Enterprises (10 - 100 employees)
This Award is for the best submission which displays excellence in training in a small enterprise.
 
It is designed for entrants who have developed an excellent and effective training initiative. The resulting initiative must demonstrate good learner outcome and show the added value to their business.
 
IITD Award for Medium Sized Enterprises (101 - 250 employees)
This Award is for the best submission which displays excellence in training in a medium sized enterprise.
 
It is designed for entrants who have developed an excellent and effective training initiative. The resulting initiative must demonstrate good learner outcome and show the added value to their business.
 
IITD Award for Large Enterprises (Over 250 employees)
This Award is for the best submission which displays excellence in training in a large enterprise.
 
It is designed for entrants who have developed an excellent and effective training initiative. The resulting initiative must demonstrate good learner outcome and show the added value to their business.
 
The IITD Hall of Fame Award for the Learning and Development Practitioner
Nominations are invited for the 2012 IITD Hall of Fame Award for learning and development professionals who have made an individual outstanding contribution to the learning and development field.
 
Submissions should outline the contribution the contender has made to the Learning and Development Community. If no external nominations are received Judges may make recommendations.
 
The IITD Award for Best Work Placement - Graduate and Non-Graduate
This award is for the best submission from a company, organisation, institution, foundation, society, association who participated in the “Transition Year work experience programme” and/or “Graduate Work Experience” or/andRe-skilling Initiative”for return to work programmes.
 
The IITD Award for Independent Training Consultancy.
This award is for the best submission from a training provider who demonstrates an innovative approach and excellence in the implementation of a programme or product developed beyond the norm.
 
The IITD Award for the Most Innovative Use of Technology
This award is for a submission which has demonstrated a creative, unique and resourceful use of technology in a training programme.
IITD Award for Networks and Groups
This is awarded to the best submission from Networks or Groups who display excellence in training and development.
The Pearse Walsh Award
This is awarded to the best submission for Innovation in the Transfer of Learning to Employees.
