The Irish Institute of Training & Development's Mission is

1. To ensure (guarantee) best practice in training and
development in Ireland by:

  • Identifying, implementing and monitoring
  • international standards
  • Researching and bench-marking on a continuous basis
  • Providing accredited professional education in training
  • and development
  • Influencing key stakeholders/policy makers.

2. To support members by:

  • Providing a basis for member certification in a way
  • that enhances continuing professional development
  • and thus employment opportunities
  • Organising members into active networks, regionally
  • and nationally in a way that achieves the goals of
  • the Institute and the needs of the members.
