Welcome to the Membership Section of the Irish Institute of Training & Development

The IITD currently represents more than 2,000 Learning & Development Professionals working in a variety of roles and sectors. Membership grades and titles range from Student member to Fellow, with eligibility to a particular grade dependent on academic qualifications, CPD record, and experience.

The IITD works to guarantee best practice in training and development in Ireland by indentifying, implementing, and monitoring international standards; researching and bench-marking on a continuous basis; providing professional education in training and development; and influencing key stakeholders/policy makers. The second key focus area is to support members by providing a basis for member certification in a way that enhances continuing professional development and thus employment opportunities; and organising members into active networks, regionally and nationally in a way that achieves the goals of the Institute and the needs of members.
